Sir Syed Pharmacology Institute (SSPI) is a non-government organization working on the not for profit basis working for the cause of minorities and mainstreaming AYUSH – Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicine as the two main causes of the organization.
We are an organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 vide registration number 18/2002-2003 in April 2002. Dr. Y M Salmani, the founder and Chief Functionary of the organization has been a promoter of AYUSH since 40 years ever since he has been a medical practitioner in Azamgarh.
The organization has been working in the areas of Community Health, Ayurveda Therapy, Care of Elderly along with running a Homeopathy Dispensary and organizing Free Health Camps and Free OPDs for over 400 patients everyday at our facility in Brhamsthan, Azamgarh.
Under this initiative, we have been organizing Free Medical Camps for the Marginalized and has been running a 400 bedded hospital where we provide free OPDs to over 400 patients every day.
This has been one of the focus areas of the organization ever since the inception of the organization because Dr. Salmani, the founder of the organization has been working tirelessly towards it.
This is another initiative on which the organization has been working ever since its inception. We provide stay facility to the marginalized people of the religious minorities along with providing them with all the basic facilities.
A world where equal opportunities are available for minorities and AYUSH is looked as a mainstream medical system.
To provide with education and health facilities to the marginalized minorities along with setting up of AYUSH as a mainstream cheaper medical system.
Provide quality Homeopathy Pharmacy education to a batch of 200 students every year with a focus on minority students.
Salmani Teaching Hospital provides with the Diploma Course in Homeopathy Pharmacy to 200 students every year since its inception in 2008.
We ensure that quality education is provided to the students and by promoting AYUSH as a mainstream medical system, we are also preparing the ground for the students to practice the diploma that they gain from the system.
Through this program, we are providing the students with a sustainable livelihood option and with an increasing amount of trust towards homeopathy, this is a sustainable livelihood.
To provide healthcare facilities to all irrespective of their economic and social status particularly to the minorities of Azamgarh.

Ever since the inception of the organization, we have been organizing free medical camps in the semi-urban and rural areas.
This was also set up to provide healthcare facilities to all irrespective to their social and economic backgrounds.
Daily free OPD is provided to the marginalized and over 400 patients are examined daily by a dedicated team of 5 doctors.
